Guatemala at Easter - Guatemala is the heart of the Mayan world, both archaeologically and culturally. The country still very much maintains its indigenous identity as well as its sense of history and culture.

Not only is Guatemala home to a number of archaeological sites such as Tikal, the largest Mayan ruins in existence, the country boasts what is considered to be a living Mayan culture with many communities maintaining the traditional indigenous way of life.
